Not many knew who Hwang In Youp was until he debuted as a fashion model in 2017. A year later, he debuted as an actor in the Naver TV web series, W.H.Y, which led him to sign with KeyEast agency. However, it was in 2020 when In Youp gained recognition after starring in a TV series called 18 Again, a remake of the American fantasy comedy, 17 Again, starring Zac Efron in the main role.

In Youp rose to international prominence for his role in another comedy series, True Beauty (2020-2021). After the success of the TV drama, In Youp is coming to greet all of his fans with his first online fan meeting in July.
