BTS have officially confirmed their return with their fifth full-length album, scheduled for release on March 20 at midnight ET. Widely regarded as one of the most anticipated releases of the year, the album will be accompanied by a long-awaited world tour, marking the group’s full return to the global stage.
The upcoming release represents a defining point in BTS’ work. Created in the second half of 2025, the 14-track release brings together each member’s perspective, reflecting exactly where BTS are right now – confident and united, probably for the last time before moving on with their own lives and solo projects.
Alongside the album announcement, BTS revealed plans for a major world tour, their first large-scale run in nearly four years since BTS PERMISSION TO DANCE ON STAGE concluded in Las Vegas in April 2022. Full details, including tour dates and venues, will be released on January 14 at midnight KST. The tour is already being framed as a significant cultural moment, celebrating the group’s reunion and their enduring bond with fans worldwide.
In the lead-up to the announcement, BTS reached out to ARMY through handwritten letters sent directly to fans across the globe. Written by each member, the letters were the first personal messages announcing their comeback and expressed heartfelt gratitude to those who had supported the group over the years. The physical letters were delivered to active Weverse members, with digital versions set to be released on the platform later in January.
In addition, BTS completely reset their official Instagram account at midnight on January 1, instantly starting global speculation and conversation. Within hours, the group dominated social media trends across multiple countries, underscoring the scale of excitement surrounding their return.
This comeback will be special, but one has high expectations that the album will be more muscially innovtive. As part of their comeback rollout, BTS have also launched a new official website, 2026bts.com, where additional information about the album and tour will be revealed in the coming weeks.
