Formed in 2012 in Shimane Prefecture, Omoinotake is comprised of Leo Fujii (vocals, keyboard), Tomoaki Fukushima (bass), and Hironoshin Tomita (drums) – three classmates turned collaborators. Their soulful vocals and poetic lyricism have earned them a reputation for creating music that makes listeners, as the band says, “dance and cry.” Over the years, Omoinotake have cultivated a devoted fanbase across Japan and are now preparing to expand their reach internationally.
They recently unveiled their latest single, Gravity, now available on all major streaming platforms. The swooning love song serves as the theme for the Japanese-Thai co-production film (LOVE SONG), currently showing in local cinemas. The release also includes Innocent Blue, a track originally issued digitally in late September.
Arranged by acclaimed producer Koichi Tsutaya, Gravity depicts the emotional pull of true love, mixing smooth 8-beat rhythms, rich instrumentation, and melodies that will have you hooked for quite some time.
Directed by Thai filmmaker Champ Weerachit Thongjila, known for the global hit drama 2gether, (LOVE SONG) stars Win Morisaki and Koji Mukai of Snow Man. Set between Tokyo and Bangkok, the film tells a story about beautiful and cross-cultural love, about two people connected by an unfinished song. To celebrate the release, Omoinotake shared a special live performance video of Gravity, available now on their official YouTube channel.
The digital single “Gravity / Innocent Blue” includes:
- Gravity (theme song for the film (LOVE SONG))
- Innocent Blue (Bourbon Alfort Mini Chocolate CM)
- Gravity (instrumental)
- Innocent Blue (instrumental)
