xikers, a boy group under KQ Entertainment, is a new player on the market and a serious competitor to all the rookie groups out there. Debuting just over ten months ago with their EP, HOUSE OF TRICKY: DOORBELL RINGING, xikers have shaken up the K-pop market. The release itself, featuring lead singles Tricky House and Rockstar, soared to number four on the weekly Circle Album Chart. And since then, the group has been pushing forward without faltering.

The first time we got a taste of the group’s immense energy was back in November of 2023 when they introduced themselves to the UK audience at Korea on Stage, which took place at OVO Wembley Arena in London. Although their set was very short, they showed that they can rock anyone’s socks off. A few months passed, and xikers returned to London as part of their first tour: 2024 xikers WORLD TOUR TRICKY HOUSE FIRST ENCOUNTER IN EUROPE. The group took the stage at Sheperd’s Bush Empire and presented not only a dynamic setlist but also their incredible stamina, intense choreography, and charming smiles that would have brightened even the darkest day.

What sets a K-pop concert apart from the rest? Is it the dazzling stage productions or the mind-blowing choreography? Well, for the rising boy group, xikers, it’s all about the raw energy and enthusiasm they bring to the stage. And let me tell you, their recent performance in London was one to remember. Although the group consists of ten members, only nine performed at Shepherd’s Bush Empire as Junghoon has been on a hiatus due to his post-operative recovery. From the moment the lights dimmed and the crowd started to cheer, it was clear that we were in for a wild ride. But what surprised me most was the unconventional start – an animated intro on the big screen. Talk about setting the stage for the unexpected!

As the members burst onto the stage with the confidence of experienced pros, there was no denying their talent and charisma. With synchronised moves and energy, they commenced the show with TRICKY HOUSE from their debut release. Now, while some may draw comparisons to their seniors, ATEEZ, one can surely see the talent and potential that these young stars possess in their own right.
With each song, xikers showed their dance skills, from Doorbell Ringing to the powerful Don’t Kill My Vibe. And let’s not forget the fan event, where the group engaged with the audience in a Korean dance medley competition. Their show wasn’t just about music – it was about the connection between the group members and everyone in the venue. As they performed hits like Skater and Do or Die, you could feel the venue was filled with love for the group. And when they concluded the show with HOMEBOY and Rockstar, it was clear that they pose a challenge to other rookie groups out there. xikers brought two hours of pure fun, and if this is just the beginning, then the future of K-pop is in very capable hands. Watch out, world, because xikers are here to stay!
