Hwasa, a singer-songwriter and television personality, began her music career as a member of the girl group MAMAMOO in 2014. Known for her powerful voice, confidence, and sweet personality, Hwasa has achieved remarkable success both as part of the group and as a solo artist.
In 2019, she made her solo debut with Twit, a self-composed track that topped the Gaon Digital Chart and earned her a Triple Crown by ranking #1 across Gaon’s digital, download, and streaming charts. Her first EP, Maria, followed in 2020, peaking at number seven on the Billboard World Albums chart and staying there for 19 weeks. The title track Maria earned her major awards, including a Golden Disc Award and an Mnet Asian Music Award.
Hwasa’s musical style continued with her 2023 release I Love My Body, which charted in the top ten of the Circle Digital Chart and Billboard World Digital Song Sales chart. After departing RBW in 2023, she signed with P Nation and continued to thrive as a solo artist.
In addition to her music career, Hwasa gained attention for her variety show appearances, notably winning on Hidden Singer and joining the project group Refund Sisters with the hit single Don’t Touch Me. She also collaborated with prominent artists like Dua Lipa and Loco.
Now, Hwasa is preparing to kick off her first solo European tour, HWASA LIVE TOUR [Twits], in October 2025. Following successful shows across Asia, fans can look forward to a great setlist featuring hits like Twit, Maria, I Love My Body, and NA.
