The music industry’s explosion has pushed independent artists to make their own way to the top. Dream Perfect Regime (DPR) is one of the most talented crew that has brought extraordinary music and art into the Korean market. With their breakout track Eung Freestyle, DPR’s members have gained attention for their visually entertaining performances, music, and videography.
While some members have come and gone over the years, DPR IAN, DPR LIVE, DPR CREAM, and CLINE have been with DPR since their beginning. Kim Yongwoo, also known as DPR ARTIC, joined the team in 2019, however, he was officially announced as a DPR member in 2023. Currently, Dabin is on hiatus from DPR to focus on his own projects.
Christian Yu, or DPR Ian, hails from Australia and is the director and chief editor for DPR. His directorial work extends beyond DPR, including videos for Mino, Bobby, and BIGBANG’s Taeyang. Ian’s 2021 album, Moodswings In This Order, was a triumph on its own and depicted themes of heartbreak and inner darkness, featuring collaborations with CL and DPR Live on tracks like No Blueberries. The singer continues to release his solo projects.
Kim Kyung-Mo, or DPR CREAM, is the main musical producer for DPR. The artist has over 500 credits in KOMCA’s database, earning him the nickname DPR Mozart. He debuted in 2012 with LAYBACKSOUND, producing and playing instruments on BTS’s Where Did You Come From and songs for Big Naughty, Lim Kim, and Lee Jin Ah. Joining DPR in 2015, he made most of the beats on DPR Live’s debut album and released his own EP, The Voyager 737, in 2019. His audio signature, Yo, Is This Cream? is spoken by DPR Cline.
Before joining DPR, ARTIC DJed regularly at Clubfaze in Busan and other venues like Output Busan, Shelter Seoul, Cakeshop Seoul, Snacc Seoul, and Bolero Seoul. Since September 2018, he’s produced solo tracks on his Soundcloud. ARTIC continues DJing at venues like Shelter Seoul in Itaewon when he can. He’s DJed for DPR at events like DPR LIVE and DPR IAN’s sets at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, CA. ARTIC has producer credits on five DPR songs, including collaborations with DPR CREAM and DPR CLINE.
