The idol to inspire all K-pop idols, Lee Taemin, is finally making his way to Europe! The moment has come for the singer to greet European fans on the 2024-25 Taemin World Tour (Ephemeral Gaze). This will mark the singer’s first solo tour outside of Asia, having started in South Korea, his European leg will take him to five countries, kickstarting on the 4th of March in Helsinki before wrapping up in Paris on the 12th. Hot off the release of his fifth solo EP, ETERNAL, Taemin has already slayed the stages of Asia, where he’s performed on rotating stages, wearing risqué outfits, and delivering show-stopping dance numbers topped with his signature vocals.

Since his debut with SHINee in 2008, Taemin has gone on to release an impressive number of solo works that have not only inspired a generation of idols but also seen him beautifully navigate his exploration of gender and sexuality. This unique charm has shaped his vision for the artist he wishes to continue to be. His latest mini-album, ETERNAL, and the title track, the sultry Sexy In The Air, saw a darker vibe, while the hauntingly beautiful song Deja Vu revealed his duality perfectly. He shows that he effortlessly knows how to tap into both sides of his talent, which makes his discography so fascinating to listen to, and has a little bit of everything for listeners, regardless of musical taste.

With over 15 years in the industry, Taemin continues to push the boundaries that are a breath of fresh air that can sometimes feel rare in an industry that wants to be squeaky clean and pristine. His 2023 album Guilty signalled a return to form following his military discharge, indulging in sensuality with songs like The Rizzness, which boasts self-assurance and charm. And who can forget the Guilty dance challenge? With previous singles that are quintessentially Taemin, such as 2020’s Criminal, 2021’s Advice, and of course 2017’s Move, of which he performed at 2017’s Seoul Fashion Week, leading him to go viral thanks to the seductiveness of the dance routine.  It’s fan favourites such as these that have boosted his popularity with TAEmate (fandom name) and SHAWOLS (SHInee fandom) who have been waiting to see them performed live.

One thing is clear: This will be a tour that will show Taemin’s superb artistry. Tickets go on sale on the 4th of December at 1pm local time on Dice.
