ARMY or not, I am sure that majority of us know who Jin of BTS is. Or at least who BTS are…am I right? Whether you’re a die-hard fan or simply curious, there’s no denying the global reach and cultural impact of BTS – and now that Jin, the oldest member of the group, has completed his military service, excitement around his return is already growing.
And there’s some great news coming your way too: Jin has officially announced his first-ever solo tour, #RUNSEOKJIN_EP.TOUR, which will visit nine cities around the world. The tour begins with two shows in Goyang, South Korea, on June 28 and 29 at the Goyang Auxiliary Stadium. These concerts will also be livestreamed on Weverse so fans everywhere can join in.
The tour name comes from Jin’s fun variety show Run Jin, which was featured on BTS’s official YouTube channel. As the series wraps up, Jin said he wants to keep connecting with fans – this time by meeting them in person. So the tour’s title reflects Jin “running” to see ARMY around the world.
The U.S. and Europe leg, titled #RUNSEOKJIN_EP.TOUR in U.S. & EUROPE, will begin on July 17 in Anaheim, California, and continues through Dallas, Tampa, Newark, London, and ends in Amsterdam. This will be Jin’s first solo tour in North America and Europe – a significant step forward in his career.
Ahead of the tour, Jin will also release his second solo album, Echo, on May 16. The album looks at everyday life and emotions from Jin’s perspective, following his first solo album Happy. That debut’s title track Running Wild hit No.1 on iTunes in 70 countries, proving Jin’s strong presence as a solo artist.
Pre-sale and ticketing details for #RUNSEOKJIN_EP.TOUR in U.S. & EUROPE will be released on April 22 ET.
