82MAJOR, a K-pop rookie boy group, is a squad of six young guns with a strong sense of who they are and where they’re headed. Consisting of Nam Seong Mo, Park Seok Joon, Yoon Ye Chan, Cho Seong Il, Hwang Seong Bin, and Kim Do Gyun, they’re on a mission to shake up the K-pop scene. Taking inspiration from South Korea’s country code, 82, they’re all about blazing a new trail in the music industry. With their unstoppable drive and the sky as their only limit, there’s no telling what 82MAJOR will achieve!
Debuting last year, 82MAJOR kicked off their debut with not one, but two title tracks: SURE THING and FIRST CLASS. While SURE THING gives a refreshing and cheerful vibe, showing the group’s excitement for the future, FIRST CLASS, brings a strong sense of resolve and self-assurance. It represents the group’s enduring trust in one another as they begin their musical journey. For both tracks, the group had a hand in songwriting, with Nam Seong Mo, Yoon Ye Chan, and Hwang Seong Bin making significant contributions to the creative process.
After a few months of hard work, 82MAJOR is ready to return with their first mini-album called BEAT by 82. On April 12th, the group uploaded stunning images for their imminent release, featuring sleek black-and-white visuals reminiscent of Vogue. The images not only present the group’s aesthetic versatility but also align with the thematic essence of their upcoming mini-album. According to 82MAJOR, BEAT by 82 will feature a dynamic blend of Hip-hop and K-pop, offering a fresh perspective on the group’s musical repertoire. It’s worth mentioning that each member actively participated in the songwriting process, demonstrating their skills in music production.
The mini-album will feature four tracks: Choke, Birthday, Illegal, and 82. Without a doubt, the excitement is growing with each day among fans, including us, as we patiently await what’s in store. But before BEAT by 82 hits the shelves and all major music platforms, treat yourself to a listen of their debut release, ON. It’s truly a great release and well worth your time.
BEAT by 82 will be released on April 29, 6 pm (KST).
